OUR

VALUES

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible arbitrator of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.

We believe the one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self existent, self-revealed “I AM”; and has further revealed Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the divine and eternal nature of The Lord Jesus Christ who took on the nature of man. Since He is both God and man He is therefore our “Emmanuel”, God with us.

We believe mankind was created good and upright, but man, by voluntary transgression, fell through sin taking on a sinful nature, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

We believe salvation is by the grace of God, through faith in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary.  We believe salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit in response to repentance and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe Water Baptism by full immersion should be observed, as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have already repented and in their hearts and have truly believed on Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.  Water Baptism is a declaration to the world that they have died with Christ on the Cross and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.

We believe all believers should earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ.  With it comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.

We believe the church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointment for the fulfillment of the great commission and the great commandment.

We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ and the consummation of the age when everyone will have to give account before God. All those who have put their faith in Christ will receive their reward and live eternally with God in heaven. On the Day of Judgment the remainder will be judged and receive eternal punishment.
